Don’t forget sunscreen, even if it’s cloudy. I ended up with a sunburn after thinking I was safe with the shade of the trees. Better safe than sorry!

Wear sturdy shoes! I thought flip-flops would be fine, but trust me, the trails can be a bit tricky, and you'll want to be comfortable

Arrive early, like around 7:00 AM, to beat the crowds and maybe even catch some critters waking up. I loved spotting sloths and monkeys before the park filled up.

Consider bringing your own snacks and water. The food options inside are a bit pricey and not the greatest. I saved a good bit of cash packing a picnic!

Don't skip the waterfalls while you’re here! I almost did thinking it was too much effort. They were a gorgeous sight and a great escape from the beach crowds. Bring some water shoes, though, the trails can be rocky!

Bring your own snorkeling gear if you can! Rentals are available, but they can be pricey and sometimes the equipment isn’t in great shape. I saved a good chunk by just bringing my own mask and snorkel.

hit the beach after 3 pm for a quieter vibe. the mornings can get packed with tourists, but late afternoons are much more tranquil and the sunsets are stunning – perfect for those instagram shots!

i suggest wearing good hiking shoes and bringing a refillable water bottle. the trails can get a bit slippery and you don't want to be caught off guard! also, fresh water is limited and buying it inside can be pricey.

I recommend checking out the local surf schools for lessons, especially if you're a rookie. They often have great package deals that save you money and time – just don’t forget to haggle a bit

my advice is to hit the beach around 4 pm when the sun isn't blistering hot. you’ll catch the perfect waves and avoid the crowds, plus the sunsets are insane!

I suggest checking their website for feeding times before you go. I was lucky enough to catch the sloth feeding and it was the highlight of my visit! Trust me, you don't want to miss those cuties in action.

I suggest visiting Parque Reptilandia in the morning around 9 AM when it's cooler and the animals are more active. The early hours usually have fewer visitors too, so you can enjoy it without crowds.

My advice is to bring some snacks and water. The café has limited options and can be a bit pricey. Plus, there's lots of places to sit and enjoy your own food in the shade!
