Make sure to try the local cheese pairing with the wines. It’s not expensive, and trust me, it makes a huge difference in taste!

Don't skip the vineyard tour! It was way more interesting than I thought. The guide shared stories that really enhanced the experience. Just avoid weekends if you can; it gets packed!

I suggest visiting around 3 PM when it's less crowded, so you can enjoy the tastings without feeling rushed. The staff have more time to chat too!
Matosevic Winery

If you can, visit during the week instead of weekends; it’s less crowded and you’ll probably get more personal attention from the staff

Try to book the tasting in advance, especially during summer months; it fills up quickly and you don’t want to miss out on their awesome wines
La Puntulina
Pavlomir Winery

Check ahead about their wine tours. We thought we’d just walk in, but they had specific slots, so it was a bit of a wait for us.
Damjanic Wine

I suggest booking a tasting in advance, especially on weekends. It got pretty busy when I was there!

If you want to save some money, skip the fancy restaurants in town and eat where the locals do. I found a hidden little tavern that had amazing local dishes for half the price of the tourist spots.

I recommend going during the grape harvest season, usually late September to October. You’ll see the vineyards bustling with activity, and it’s totally cool to watch! Plus, there might be some fresh juice tastings you can snag.

Honestly, I thought taking a taxi would be easy, but it took forever to find one later in the day. If you're in a group, rent a car. It’ll save you so much time and give you the freedom to explore the countryside.
My advice is to keep an eye out for local events. I stumbled upon a wine festival that wasn’t widely advertised and it was such a blast! You get to sample wines and meet local winemakers.
