Trsat Fortress

I think it's smart to bring a water bottle. There are some spots to refill, and it can get really warm on the way up. Trust me, I wish I had saved my euros instead of buying bottled water.

Check out the art gallery inside the fortress; it was a surprise find! I didn't expect much, but it had some cool local pieces that were worth seeing. Plus, it was a nice break from the heat!

I suggest visiting on a weekday if you can. The weekend crowds were a bit overwhelming— we had to wait for the best photo spots and it made the experience feel rushed. Much calmer on weekdays!
Lungomare Opatija
Church of Our Lady of Trsat
Maiden with the Seagull

If you’re planning to take photos, try to come just before sunset. The lighting is absolutely gorgeous then, and you can get some amazing shots of the seagull statue and the coastline!

My advice is to wear comfortable shoes. The paths around Maiden with the Seagull can be pretty uneven, so you'll want to be ready for a bit of walking without killing your feet!
PEEK&POKE Computer Museum
Maritime and History Museum of the Croatian Coast

My advice is to grab a coffee and snack at the museum’s café before you start. It’ll give you a break, and you won't feel rushed wandering around. Plus, it’s a nice spot to relax
Capuchin Church of Our Lady of Lourdes
My advice is to take a moment and explore the surrounding gardens after your visit. They’re peaceful and a perfect spot for a little downtime, plus it’s free!

I suggest visiting in the morning around 9 AM when it's quieter. I went later and it was packed, making it hard to fully enjoy the beautiful details inside.
City Clock Tower
St. Vitus Cathedral

I suggest visiting in the early morning around 9 AM when it's less crowded, so you can take beautiful photos without too many people in the frame. I had the place almost to myself.
Natural History Museum

If you're on a budget, consider visiting on a Sunday when they sometimes have free entry... I wish I knew this before my visit, it would have saved me some cash

Definitely check out the fossil section, it's super cool! My advice is to spend extra time there, you won't regret it. Also, take your time reading the info; it really adds to the experience

Bring a water bottle! There's not much around to grab a drink, and I found myself quite thirsty. Also, plan your visit before noon; it gets a bit crowded after that.
