Oy Levi Ski Resort

Check out the local restaurants for lunch instead of eating on the slopes. I found some amazing places in Kittila that were cheaper and way tastier.

If you want to avoid the rush, hit the slopes right when they open at 9 AM. The fresh powder is amazing, and you'll have more space to enjoy skiing or snowboarding!
Santa Claus Village

don't miss the santa claus post office; send a postcard from there—it felt magical! but be aware that cards can take time to arrive, so plan ahead!
Try to visit during weekdays instead of weekends—it's less crowded and you'll enjoy the attractions more. I went on a Saturday and the lines were long everywhere!

I suggest booking a time for Santa meeting in advance. I forgot to do that and ended up waiting over an hour; it was worth it but could've been better organized!

Bring your own snacks if you have dietary restrictions. The food options are limited and can be pricey. I ended up spending a lot on just a quick bite!
Iso-Yllas Hiihtokeskus

I suggest trying the local restaurants for lunch; they have some amazing reindeer dishes that you won't find in typical tourist spots. It's a nice break between activities.
I recommend checking the weather before you go. It can change fast, and knowing what to expect will help you dress appropriately and plan your day better.

If you're into skiing and snowmobiling, consider getting a combined ticket. It saved me quite a bit, and I got to enjoy both without breaking the bank!

Don’t skip the night-time activities! The auroras were amazing, and I suggest booking a snowmobile adventure that includes a hunt for the Northern Lights. It was the highlight of my trip!
Salla Ski Resort

One thing I learned is to pack some snacks. The dining options are a bit pricey, so I brought some energy bars and saved money.

I suggest checking out the package deals for lift tickets and rentals online before your visit. I saved a good chunk of change that way!

My experience was so much better when I hit the slopes after 3 PM. The crowds thinned out and the snow was so much nicer!

I think the sauna at the resort is a must after a long day on the slopes. It's the perfect way to unwind, so I won't skip it next time!

Tunturiaapa Nature Trail

Make sure to wear sturdy shoes! The trail can get really muddy, especially after rain. I wore my old sneakers and regretted it right away. Go for waterproof hiking boots instead.
Hetta-Pallas Trail

Make sure to pack some snacks and plenty of water. I ran low on both and had to make some impromptu stops - which took time away from the trail!

Don't overthink it with expensive gear. I went with what I had and it worked just fine. You can have a fantastic time without breaking the bank on equipment.

Be ready for all types of weather. It rained on me out of nowhere! Layers are key - I ended up chilly and soggy because I didn't plan ahead.
Pyha Ski Resort

I think taking the time to explore the less crowded slopes can be a game-changer. I skipped the main runs and found some awesome spots with fresh powder.

If you're planning to rent gear, do it the day before to save time in the morning rush. I did this, and it really made my day smoother!
