Massif de Balme

My advice is to rent your sled from a shop down in the village instead of on the mountain. It's way cheaper and there are more options, plus you can take your time choosing what works for you

If you can, hit the slopes right around 9 AM... You'll avoid the crowds and snag some fresh powder before it gets all choppy... I did this and it was totally worth it!

Don’t forget to wear layered clothing. The weather can change quickly up there. I ended up with too many layers and got really hot, so balance it out.

Bring your own snacks and drinks to save some cash! I made the mistake of buying at the kiosks and, wow, prices were sky high. Pack a picnic and enjoy it by the slope!
Megeve Ski Resort

If you're into sledding, head over to the Mecau ski area around 4 PM. It was way less crowded then, and we had so much fun without waiting too long for our turn.

I suggest checking out the mountain huts for lunch instead of expensive restaurants in town. The food is super tasty and much more affordable. I loved the local cheese dishes!

I recommend getting a multi-day ski pass if you plan to hit the slopes for more than a day or two. It saves you some euros and lets you explore more of the area without worrying about buying new passes every day.
Piste de luge Mission Black Forest

I suggest bringing your own sled if you can; rentals can be a bit pricey and sometimes they don't have the best ones. Plus, you'll save some cash.
Chiens de Traineaux Chamrousse La Draye Blanche

Take some time to explore the beautiful surroundings after your sledding. The views are stunning. I suggest bringing a camera for some great pics.

My advice is to wear layered clothing and bring gloves... It gets chilly, and you don't want to be uncomfortable while you're having fun
