Basilica of Notre Dame de Fourviere

Don't miss the view from the terrace! It’s stunning and you can see all of Lyon. I thought it was my favorite part of the visit, even more than the inside.

Check out the little shops close by for unique souvenirs. I found some great local crafts that were way cooler and cheaper than stuff inside the basilica

Get there early, around 9 AM, to beat the crowds. It was peaceful and photogenic before the tourists flooded in. Plus, the morning light is gorgeous for shots!

I recommend wearing comfy shoes. The climb up can be a little steep and you'll want to explore all the surrounding areas without your feet killing you.
Bridge of Love

If you're into unique photos, bring a small lock to add to the bridge. It’s a cute way to participate in the tradition and can save you some cash – no need to buy souvenirs!
Eglise de Saint Pierre

My advice is to take your time exploring the little details; I almost missed some incredible carvings because I was rushing through! Just slow down and enjoy the atmosphere

I suggest visiting around 10 AM to avoid the crowds. The morning light makes the stained glass pop like crazy, and you’ll have more time to soak it all in without rushing.

I think bringing a small guidebook or having offline maps on your phone can save you time. I had some trouble finding my way back to the main square, and it wasted a bit of my visiting time.

I recommend checking out the nearby cafés for a quick bite before or after your visit. I had a delicious croissant at a little spot just around the corner that was way cheaper than the tourist traps!
Saint Blaise Church

If you can, visit early in the morning around 9 AM. The light coming through the stained glass is totally stunning and there are way fewer people around. Plus, you get a nice, quiet vibe to enjoy the architecture more!
Congress Palace

I recommend checking out the local cafés nearby before your visit to have a nice breakfast. It made my morning feel way more relaxed and you get to try some great pastries!
Chapelle Saint-Grat

I suggest checking out the chapel early in the morning like around 9 am when it’s much quieter... You’ll have the place mostly to yourself and can snap those perfect photos without the crowds getting in the way... Trust me it's worth the early wake-up!

My advice is to take a small picnic with you. The area around Chapelle Saint-Grat has some stunning views, and there are benches nearby where you can chill for a bit after visiting. It saves you money on food and is such a nice way to relax!
Vasse Canal

Make sure to grab a croissant from a local bakery before you stroll along the canal. It's a delicious way to start your day and really doesn't cost much. A total win-win!

I suggest taking a moment to sit on one of the benches by the water and soak in the beauty. Don't rush through; I didn't, and it made my experience so much richer. Plus, you'll get some great photos!
Basilica of the Visitation

Don't miss the stunning views from the terrace! My advice is to take the time to climb to the top even if it feels like a little effort—it’s totally worth it for the photos and scenery.
Eglise Notre-Dame-des-Neiges

I recommend visiting around 10 AM to beat the crowds, trust me, it gets really busy later. Plus, the morning light makes the architecture even more beautiful for photos. Don't forget your camera.

I think it's worth taking a little detour to enjoy the surrounding views. There's a great viewpoint just a short walk away, which is neat and won't cost you anything. Just remember to wear comfy shoes!
Saint-Louis Church

My advice is to grab a quick bite at a nearby café before heading in. The area has some lovely spots, and having a snack will keep you energized for exploring the beautiful details inside the church.
