Bring a reusable water bottle. It can get pretty warm, and they kindly refilled ours while we were sampling wines!

Check if they have any special tasting events or discounts before you go. We stumbled on a flight promotion that made it super affordable!

I recommend visiting during the week rather than on weekends. It was way less crowded, and we had more personal attention from the staff.

Don’t forget to wear layers! It’s colder inside the caves than you’d think. I felt a bit chilly because I only wore a t-shirt

If you want to save some cash, try to visit on a weekday. The weekend crowd can really hike up the prices for tastings and tours, and you get a more relaxed vibe during the week.

i suggest taking some time to wander around the vineyards after your tasting. it’s a peaceful experience and you’ll learn a bit more about the wine-making process up close.

My advice is to grab a bottle or two at the end; their wines are some of the best in Chinon, and prices are good compared to what you'll find in shops

Definitely try to book a tasting ahead of time! I didn’t and ended up waiting longer than I wanted. Weekends can get super busy so if you can go during the week that’s even better.

Try to do a vineyard tour if you can; it adds a whole new level to the experience! I thought just the tasting would be fine, but seeing the vines made everything more special.
