Pierre-Mauroy Stadium

Arrive a bit earlier, like around 1-2 hours before a match. This way, you can soak in the atmosphere outside and grab some food from the food trucks around the stadium, which can be way cheaper than inside.

Exploring the stadium's architecture is awesome, but plan your visit when they have guided tours, usually before big matches. I went during an off-peak time, and I missed out on some cool insights!
The Old Stock Exchange

If you're into architecture, spend some time just sitting on the benches and admiring the details... I wished I'd taken a sketchbook to capture all the stunning features

I recommend visiting the Old Stock Exchange on a weekday morning around 10 AM to beat the crowds. It’s the perfect time to soak in the architecture without feeling rushed.

I suggest checking out the surrounding area for local markets on Thursdays. The vibe is fantastic, and you get to experience the local culture more deeply.

take a stroll in the courtyard area; it’s a great spot for unique photos. plus, i found a lovely café nearby where i enjoyed a coffee afterward.
Palace of Fine Arts

I recommend downloading the museum’s app before you go. It has a map and info about the artworks, which can really enhance your visit and save you time looking things up.

I think bringing a small snack is a great idea. There aren’t many food options inside, and taking a break with a bite while enjoying the view is nice!
Chantilly Castle
I think visiting on a weekday is the best move. We went on a Thursday and it was way less crowded, which made exploring so much nicer.

My advice is to grab the audio guide at the entrance. It's really worth the few extra euros and helps you appreciate the history of the castle so much more.

Check the timings for the fountain show if you're visiting in the warmer months. We nearly missed it because we didn't know it's only on certain days, and it looked incredible!

I suggest bringing a picnic! There are beautiful gardens and it's a nice way to save some money on lunch while enjoying the views
Grand Place

Check out the local street vendors for lunch instead of dining at the pricier restaurants nearby. I saved a good chunk of cash grabbing some delicious crepes!
LaM

I recommend checking out the temporary exhibitions. They can be real gems and add a unique touch to your visit. I stumbled on an amazing one, and it was a highlight for sure!

My advice is to grab a lightweight lunch at the cafe inside. Their sandwiches are not only delish but also budget-friendly. I ended up spending less than I thought, which was great!

Don't forget to download the museum app before you go. It has great info and audio guides for free. I missed out on it and wished I had it during my visit!

I think weekdays are best for visiting. I went on a Tuesday and the crowd was much thinner. It really let me soak in the art without feeling rushed!
Charles de Gaulle Birthplace

I think you should try to visit on Wednesdays if you can, as it's less crowded and more chill. You’ll have more time to appreciate the exhibits without feeling rushed.

I suggest checking out the little gift shop at the end. They have unique memorabilia that you won’t find in major tourist spots, plus the prices are pretty fair!
Caverna del Dragon

Bring a good pair of shoes; the floors can be slippery in parts and you'll want to be comfortable exploring. Trust me you’ll thank yourself halfway through!

Grab your tickets online before you go. It saves you a lot of time in line, especially on weekends. I learned the hard way and had to wait for ages.
Underground City of Naours

I suggest checking out the audio guide; it's super informative and adds a lot to the experience. Plus, it saves you from missing out on interesting details that aren't in the regular tour.
Lille Citadelle

I suggest bringing a picnic and enjoying it in the park area near the Citadelle. There are lovely spots to relax, and it saves you from spending too much at nearby cafes

If you can, visit on a weekday morning (around 10 AM) to avoid crowds and enjoy a peaceful stroll around the Citadelle. I found the early hours really nice for taking photos without too many people around.
