Tuileries Garden

Take your time near the fountains—grab a chair and just relax for a bit. I found it was the best way to soak in the vibe of Paris.

Don’t miss the west end of the garden; it's quieter and has an amazing view of the Louvre. Perfect for photos without the crowd!

Be mindful of the weather! Bring a light jacket or umbrella, especially in spring or fall. I got caught in the rain, and it wasn't fun!

Grab a coffee or snack at one of the small kiosks instead of a sit-down cafe. It saves money and lets you enjoy the park while you snack!
Luxembourg Garden

If you're looking to save some cash, bring your own snacks and enjoy a picnic under the trees. There are lovely spots that feel just right for chilling

I recommend visiting in late spring or early fall when the blooms are fresh or the colors are vibrant. You'll avoid the summer tourists too!

I suggest hitting the garden around 9 AM to beat the crowds and enjoy the serene atmosphere. It's a perfect time for those Instagram shots before everyone else shows up.
Trocadero Gardens

On sunny days, bring some sunscreen. I forgot mine, and I ended up looking like a lobster after just a couple of hours. The sun hits differently when you’re spending time outside!

Take advantage of the benches around the gardens. I did and it was a perfect spot for people watching plus it gives your feet a break. It’s a good way to soak in the atmosphere!

My advice is to wear comfy shoes. You’ll end up walking more than you think, especially if you want to explore the surrounding areas too. Those cobblestones are brutal!

I think you should check out the fountains in the gardens! They have a show at certain times, and it’s free entertainment. Be sure to ask around, sometimes they don’t run every day though.
Field of Mars

Wear comfortable shoes! The park is large and you’ll want to stroll around. I regretted wearing fancy sandals and ended up with sore feet after just a couple of hours.

If you're into art, make sure to take a quick walk towards the nearby Palais de Chaillot. The architecture and the view from there are breathtaking and it's usually less crowded than the park!

During peak tourist season, check the weather before you go. I went on a cloudy day and missed out on great views; clear days are definitely better for your photos and experience.

Grab some takeaway food from a nearby café and have a picnic on the grass. It’s a great way to relax and soak in the view – much cheaper than dining at nearby restaurants.
Vincennes Nature Reserve

Take some time to visit the Château de Vincennes nearby. It’s worth the quick detour and gives you a bit of history along with the nature.

I recommend downloading a map of the reserve beforehand. There are some awesome hidden trails that aren’t well marked – it made my visit much more enjoyable to have a little guide.
La Villette

Don’t miss out on the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie. It’s fantastic but I suggest buying tickets online to skip the queues.

My advice is to visit the park during the week if you can—it’s way less crowded than the weekend and more relaxing to stroll around.

I recommend bringing a picnic! The lawns are perfect for lounging, and you can save some cash by eating there instead of in a restaurant.

If you plan to explore the area, wear comfortable shoes! There’s quite a bit of walking, and I wish I'd known that before my visit.
Deauville Beach

Don’t forget your water shoes! The sand can get super hot in the afternoon, and if you’re not careful, you might end up hopping around trying to find a cool spot!

Check out the beach chairs and umbrellas that you can rent instead of just laying on the sand. I didn’t know they had that, and it’s way comfier than chilling on a towel.

I recommend stopping by the local farmers’ market on Wednesdays and Sundays. You’ll find some great artisanal food and drinks that are perfect for a beach snack!

Grab a baguette and some cheese from a local shop for a picnic. The beach vibe is more relaxed and you’ll save a ton compared to dining out. Seriously, it’s the way to go
Beach Le Touquet-Paris-Plage

My advice is to avoid the overpriced sunbeds. Instead, bring your own towel or mat. I made that mistake and next time I’ll just chill on my own gear and save some cash!

If you can, visit the beach early in the morning, around 8 AM. It’s so much quieter then, and you can snag a great spot without the crowds. Plus, the sunrise feels magical.
Buttes-Chaumont
I recommend bringing a book or just a blanket to chill on the grass... It’s a great way to relax and soak in the atmosphere without spending a dime

Bring a picnic. The park has tons of grassy spots to chill and relax. You’ll save money on food and have a lovely meal surrounded by nature.

I suggest visiting Buttes-Chaumont early in the morning, around 8 AM, to enjoy the park with fewer crowds and to catch the beautiful sunrise over the lake.

Wear comfy shoes! There are lots of hills and paths that make the place feel like a mini-hike. I regretted wearing my new sneakers that weren’t meant for walking
Catacombs of Paris

Dress in layers. The temp down there is pretty cool and can be damp, so you don't wanna freeze or get too hot when you first go in.

Be prepared for some stairs! There are lots of them, so if you're not fit or have knee issues, maybe visit the museum instead. I kinda underestimated it and regretted it!
Try to book your tickets online ahead of time to save yourself some waiting drudgery. I was stuck in line for about an hour, and it was a bit of a drag.

For the best experience try to go around 5 PM on a weekday. It was much less crowded then and I could really soak in the atmosphere without feeling rushed.
