Deauville Beach
Try to wander a few streets back from the beach for lunch. I discovered this hole-in-the-wall restaurant with great seafood that was way more budget-friendly than the beach-front places.
Falaise d'Aval
Trouville Beach
Claude Monet's Garden
Rouen Plant Garden
If you can, avoid weekend visits. It gets pretty packed with locals and families, making it tricky to really enjoy the beauty of the gardens and take good pictures. Weekdays are way more chill!
I think you should check out the plant labeling before you visit. Some sections have cool plants that you might want to look for specifically, and I missed some neat ones because I wasn’t aware of them!
Etretat Gardens
Don’t just stick to the gardens – take the time to see the surrounding cliffs and beaches. The whole area is stunning and you won't want to miss it!
Bring a light jacket even in the summer – the weather can change quickly and it gets chilly up on those hills.
Tilleul Beach
I think visiting during low tide is the best! You get to explore more of the coastline and the views are just breathtaking. Make sure to check the tide schedule before you go!
Personality Garden
I think you should wear comfy shoes; the paths can get a bit uneven! I regretted my choice of cute sandals, a bit wobbly on some spots.
My advice is to check for any seasonal exhibits first. I missed out on the flower festival by just a week. Don't be like me; plan ahead!
Square Verdrel
Naturospace Honfleur
Don't rush through! Take your time to explore each section. I suggest spending at least 1.5-2 hours there to really soak it all in and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere.
