La Grande Plage
Make sure you bring your own snacks or a picnic. The beachside cafes can be a bit pricey, and I ended up spending way more than I planned just on lunch!
Beach Cote des Basques
If you're into surfing, take a lesson at one of the local surf schools. They’re super friendly and it’s a great way to meet people. I made a lot of friends this way!
Grab a baguette and some cheese from a local shop for a picnic on the sand. It’s way cheaper than the beachside cafes and twice as satisfying. I didn’t do this and regretted it!
Miramar Beach
If you want to rent a surfboard, do it at one of the smaller local shops instead of the big names. They’re usually friendlier and offer better deals. I saved a good amount that way!
Pack your sunscreen and a beach umbrella; the sun can get intense! I didn’t realize how hot it could be, and I ended up with a nasty sunburn, which definitely put a damper on my trip!
Le Porge Ocean
Watch out for the sun! I forgot my sunscreen and got pretty burned. Bring a hat and some high-SPF lotion, especially if you're planning on hanging out all day.
Hendaye Beach
I think if you're into surfing hit the waves around 9 AM. The beach is quieter and you’ll have way more fun without the crowds splashing around everywhere
Marbella Beach
i recommend hitting the beach around 9 am to snag a good spot before the crowds roll in. the mornings are also nice and calm for a swim or a surf. just don’t forget your sunscreen.
Beach de la Graviere
Bourdaines Beach
Plan to go around 5 PM. The crowds thin out, and you can catch the most gorgeous sunset. I regret not taking more photos that evening!
