I recommend visiting during the morning, around 9 AM, when it's less crowded and you can really soak in the history without feeling rushed. Plus, the light is great for photos!

my advice is to grab a good map before you go. i got a bit lost trying to find the entrance; a map would have saved me time and frustration!
