Bring your own snacks and drinks to save some money. The beachside cafes can be pretty pricey, and it’s nice to chill out with your own picnic while soaking in the sun
Petit Travers Beach

I suggest bringing your own snacks and drinks because beachside cafes can be pricey... Plus, you'll have more time to relax without running back and forth for food!

I recommend renting a beach chair and umbrella to save yourself from the sun. It made my day way more comfortable and enjoyable!

If you're planning to swim, go between 10 AM and 1 PM when the water is calmer. After that, the waves picked up and it became a bit challenging.

Definitely check the wind conditions before you go. It can get super windy, which is great for kite surfing, but not so great if you're just trying to sunbathe!
Grand Travers Beach

I think exploring the nearby dunes is a must. There’s some lovely, quieter spots just a short walk away from the main area. I stumbled onto this by accident and it was sooo worth it!

For easy parking, try to find a spot before 10 AM or use public transport. I got stuck in traffic searching for a spot and wasted my time. Ugh!

I suggest bringing your own snacks and drinks to the beach. The nearby cafes can be a bit pricey, and I regretted paying so much for a simple sandwich. Save that cash for something more fun!
Plage de la Grande Conque
Beach Paulilles

Try to get there by 9 AM. The beach gets pretty crowded, especially on weekends. I was able to snag a great spot before the rush!

I recommend exploring the surrounding walking trails after your beach day. The views from up there are stunning and it’s super peaceful compared to the beach itself!
Plage Richelieu

Definitely check the tide schedules; the beach is way nicer at low tide when there’s more sand. I went during high tide and it was a bit cramped!

I recommend arriving around 9 AM to snag a good spot. By noon, it gets super packed, and finding a free space is a mission!

I suggest bringing your own snacks and drinks to save some cash because beach bar prices are crazy high. We spent way too much on just a couple of drinks
Roquille Beach

Keep an eye on the tide times. I didn’t and ended up with less beach space during high tide, which was a bit of a bummer. Better to plan your visit around it.

If you’re into water sports, shop around for rental prices. I found that some shops offer discounts for half-day rentals; it’s totally worth asking!

Grab some snacks and drinks before you hit the beach; the nearby cafes can be pricey and don’t always have the best selection. I wish I had packed a picnic instead!

Parking can get hectic, especially during weekends. I suggest arriving by 9 AM to snag a spot close to the beach; it saves a lot of time walking.
Plage de Rochelongue

I recommend hitting the beach by 9 AM to snag a good spot before it gets packed, especially during summer weekends... Trust me, you'll want that prime sunbathing real estate!

Don't forget to pack some water shoes! The beach can be a bit rocky in areas, which surprised me at first. Protecting your feet will just make your day much more enjoyable.
Narbonne Beach
If you're into water sports, rent equipment early in the day around 9 AM to get the best prices. It gets busy and costs can shoot up by midday.

I think exploring the boardwalk in the evening around 7 PM is a must. The atmosphere is lively, and you can find some great local dining deals as well!
