Bring water and snacks! The lovely gardens are perfect for a little picnic break, and it saves you some cash instead of overpriced café food.

Don’t rush through! I recommend taking your time in each room; it's easy to overlook amazing details. I found myself taking pictures of intricate carvings I nearly missed.

Buy your tickets online in advance! I saved a ton of time skipping the long lines. Plus, you can get a better understanding of the history beforehand, which made everything more engaging.

I suggest joining a guided tour at least once. I went by myself first and later joined a group, which actually helped me understand more about the place's history
Palais Longchamp
Don't forget your camera—this place has tons of Instagrammable spots, especially the grand staircase and the view of the palace! I snapped some great shots there.

If you’re on a budget pack a picnic and enjoy it in the garden area. The views are beautiful and way better than grabbing a pricey meal nearby.

Take your time exploring the garden area; between the fountains and sculptures, there’s a lot to see. I rushed through it, and I'm definitely going to savor it on my next visit.

Visit during the week if you can; weekends get super crowded... I went on a Tuesday morning around 10 am and it was much more peaceful
If Castle

Check the ferry schedules ahead of time; they can change and you don’t want to miss one. I almost got stuck there longer because I didn’t plan properly.

Pack a light lunch or snacks! There are limited food options on the island and prices can be a bit steep. A picnic spot with a view is hard to beat!
