Don’t underestimate the trails! Some are way more challenging than they appear. I think downloading a hiking app to check the difficulty beforehand would save you some surprises.

I found a charming little café in La Palud, great for a cheap lunch after some trekking. I recommend trying the local specialties; they really hit the spot after a long hike!
If you're planning to try kayaking, go early! I went around 10 am, and the lines got super long by noon. I suggest getting there right at 9 to beat the rush.

Make sure you bring lots of water! I ran out really quick, and it can get super hot during the day. I think a hydration pack is a great investment if you plan to hike.
St. Croix Beach

I suggest bringing your own snacks and drinks, because beachside cafes can be a bit pricey. I packed some sandwiches and saved loads!

I think you should try to catch the sunset; it’s absolutely stunning around 7:30 PM. Don’t forget your camera! The colors were just breathtaking!

If you want to avoid the hassle, download a local map offline. I lost data signal when I got there, and it made finding my way back a bit tricky.

My advice is to visit during the week, especially on Tuesday or Wednesday. The beach was way less crowded, and I got the best spot to soak up the sun!
De Catalan Beach
The Beach of Frejus

If you're planning to rent a sunbed, do it early. I got there around 10 AM and most of the good spots were gone. Get there by 9:30 AM to secure a comfy spot!

Check out the beachside restaurants for lunch deals – some have fixed-price menus that are way cheaper than ordering a la carte. I saved a bunch that way.

My advice is to bring your own beach umbrella if you can. The rentals can be pricey, and finding shade is crucial in the afternoon heat.

If you’re into water sports go to the beach around 4 PM. The rates drop a bit and it’s less crowded so you can enjoy without feeling rushed.
Aven d'Orgnac

Wear good shoes! The paths can be slippery and rocky in some areas. I almost took a tumble because I thought my sneakers were good enough, but they weren't.

I suggest arriving early, around 9:30 am, to beat the crowds. The caves are a lot more enjoyable when they're not packed with people, trust me!
Calanque d'En-Vau

If you're keen on quiet time, arrive at around 9 am. Early birds can enjoy the scenery without fighting for space with other tourists.

I think visiting mid-week is way better than weekends. We had the place almost to ourselves, but on Saturday there were so many people!

Don't forget your swim gear! The water is stunning, and you'll want to take a dip after that hike. Just be careful; it can get slippery on the rocks!

If you're hiking in, be prepared for some steep trails. I didn't think it would be that tough! A good pair of hiking shoes makes a big difference
Park Borely

If you're planning to picnic, grab some goodies at a nearby bakery before entering the park, there's a lovely spot by the lake to unwind. You’ll save money and enjoy some delicious pastries. Trust me, I wish I’d known this!

Wear comfortable shoes! The paths can get a bit uneven if you venture off the main walkways. I learned the hard way when my sandals were not up to the task.

Don’t miss the chance to catch the sunset by the shoreline at the park—it's stunning. I stumbled upon it by chance and it completely made my visit.

Visit the park on a weekday morning if you want to avoid the crowds. I went on a Saturday and it was bustling, which took away from the peaceful vibe
Mont Saleve

If you’re into hiking, check out some trails before you go. Hiking paths are well marked, but I got lost for an hour. GPS works pretty well, though!
For the best sunset views, try to stick around until about 7 PM. The colors are stunning, but the wind can pick up, so a light jacket comes in handy!

I recommend taking the cable car up in the morning around 9 AM to avoid the crowds and catch the best views before it gets too hot and busy. Just check the weather forecast – it gets cloudy.

Snacks and water are essential! I spent way more on food at the top than I thought I would. Just grab a sandwich and drinks at the base to save some cash.
Paloma Beach

Try to visit on a weekday if you can; the weekends can get crowded. I found the atmosphere much more relaxed and enjoyable when I went on a Tuesday.

I recommend exploring the nearby cliffs for some stunning views. The trail is easy to find and offers a perfect photo op away from the crowds.

I really enjoyed snorkeling, so my advice is to bring your gear or rent it nearby. The underwater life is surprisingly vibrant!
Beach Portissol

For lunch, I recommend going to the little cafés on the promenade. Their seafood was fresh and delicious. Plus, it's a lot cheaper than some fancy sit-down places!

My advice is to check the tide schedules in advance! I missed out on the best beach area 'cause I didn't realize the tide was coming in.
If you're keen on swimming, try to get in by around 3 PM. The water was perfect then, but by evening it started to get chilly, and I regretted not jumping in sooner!
