Triberg Waterfalls
I recommend bringing a packed lunch. There are some nice spots to sit and enjoy your food while admiring the view, and it saves you from overpriced snacks at the cafe!
I suggest getting there early, like around 9 AM, to beat the crowds. It’s way more enjoyable when it’s not packed! Plus, you’ll get better photos without all those people in the background.
Schauinsland
My advice is to visit during weekdays, especially around 10 AM. It's way less crowded then, and you can enjoy the nature without the noise of large groups
Don't forget to pack a light jacket! It can get chilly up there, even in summer. I learned that the hard way when I froze during an afternoon hike at Schauinsland.
Schluchsee
Nebelhohle
The caves can get chilly, so I suggest bringing a light jacket even if it's warm outside. I thought I'd be fine, but I was shivering inside!
Buy your tickets online to save some euros. I got stuck in line when I went, and online prices were lower than at the entrance.
Plan your visit around lunch. The small café nearby serves a lot of regional snacks, and it's perfect for a quick bite before or after exploring.
Wear good walking shoes! I was in flip-flops and regretted it halfway through the cave. Trust me, those rocks aren't forgiving.
Lake Constance-Germany
If you're planning to rent bikes around the lake, try to do it in the morning, around 9 AM. You’ll get better rates and avoid the afternoon crowd. I wish I had done that!
Charlottenhohle
I suggest you purchase your tickets online in advance, it saved me a lot of waiting time. The queues can get really long, especially on weekends. Plus, you'll have a guaranteed spot!
I think bringing a flashlight is a good idea. Even though they provide some lighting in the caves it can get a bit dark in spots. A little extra light made my experience much better.
