Olympic Park
If you're a photog, the best light for pictures is either early morning or late afternoon – golden hour vibes! I forgot that and missed some epic shots.
Don't miss the BMW Museum nearby. It’s a bit of a walk, but totally worth it. I recommend doing that first before hitting the park, so you have energy to explore.
Take a leisurely stroll around the lake. It's so peaceful, and I found it was the calmest spot in the whole park. You won't regret taking a moment to just breathe it all in.
Schlosspark Nymphenburg
If you're into museums, don’t forget to check out the Marstallmuseum. It's included with your entrance ticket and showcases some cool royal carriages that you won't want to miss.
If you can, try visiting early in the morning around 8 AM. The park is so peaceful then, and you can enjoy the beautiful scenery without the crowds. Bring your camera, you'll want to snap some pics!
West Park
If you're into photography, I definately recommend visiting in the golden hour, just before sunset. The light is just stunning and you won't regret it.
I found the best time to visit West Park is around 9 AM when it's quieter and perfect for a nice walk. Grab a coffee from a nearby café before you head in!
Hofgarten
I recommend bringing a good camera or your phone fully charged! The gardens are incredibly photogenic, especially during the golden hour before sunset.
If you're on a budget, pack a light picnic! There are plenty of lovely spots to sit and enjoy your snacks without spending a dime on overpriced cafe food.
Arrive early, like around 8 am, to enjoy the peace and quiet before the crowds show up. I did this and it was so nice walking around without bumping into too many people.
Flaucher
I suggest bringing a blanket and some snacks for a nice picnic by the water. It’s such a chill vibe and way cheaper than eating out! We enjoyed it so much more than we thought we would.
I recommend getting there around 4 PM. The park really comes alive then, plus it’s less crowded, so you can snag a good spot to relax.
Make sure to check out the little beach areas. I didn't think they’d be as nice, but they were perfect for a quick dip during a hot day. Just remember your towel!
Hirschgarten
Check the weather before you go! It can be super sunny, and there's not much shade, so bring sunscreen or a hat. I learned that the hard way after getting roasted on my first visit.
I suggest bringing your own snacks or a picnic blanket. The food stalls can get a bit pricey, but the atmosphere is perfect for a laid-back picnic with friends. Just make sure you pack a little cooler to keep your drinks cold!
If you're coming for a walk, don't miss the Cherry Blossom trees if you're there in spring! They’re absolutely stunning. Just plan your visit for late March to early April, that’s when they’re in full bloom.
