Consider buying your tickets online in advance—you can save a decent amount compared to what you'd pay on the day, plus you won't have to worry about sold-out events.

Make sure you arrive at your seat about 15 minutes before the match starts to catch all the pre-game excitement—it really sets the mood for the night.

If you’re planning on grabbing a bite, skip the arena food! Head to nearby restaurants like Hürth or Sülz for better prices and tastier options before the game.

Check the public transport schedule ahead of time; the U-Bahn is a lifesaver post-game, but it can get super crowded, and waiting for the next train can drain your excitement

I suggest exploring the area around the stadium... There are some cool bars and restaurants where you can grab a bite or drink before or after the game... Perfect for soaking in the local vibe!

One thing I wish I knew ahead of time is to use public transport. Parking options are limited and can get pricey, so hopping on a train is way easier

Check out the fan shop, but don’t buy anything until the game ends. You can find better deals outside the stadium if you look around.

Consider taking the local public transport to Borussia-Park. The shuttle buses from the main train station are pretty efficient. I took a taxi once, and it was way more exspensive.

I think you should bring a light jacket, even if it's sunny. It can get chilly when the sun goes down, especially if you’re sitting in the stands.

i recommend arriving at the stadium around 2 hours before kick-off to soak in the pre-match atmosphere. there's loads of excitement building up and it really enhances the whole experience!

If you wanna save some cash, I suggest grabbing some snacks and drinks at a nearby supermarket instead of in the stadium. Prices inside can be a bit steep.

I suggest checking their schedule online before you go. They often have events and tournaments that can be really fun to watch or even join in on, and you don’t want to miss out!

Consider going on a weekday around 4 PM. It’s way less crowded then, and you’ll get more space to play or practice your game without that competitive weekend rush.

Don’t be shy to ask locals for tips on playing Pétanque better. They are usually super friendly and willing to share some local tricks to get you started.

Bring your own snacks and drinks if you can. The on-site options are limited and can be pricey. A little picnic always makes the day more enjoyable!

I recommend checking the calendar for events before you go. We stumbled on a concert instead of a football match, which was a cool surprise but not what we planned for!

Try to avoid the restroom lines at halftime by going just a few minutes before the game ends. Fewer people rush out, and you can grab a good spot for the next half!

Jane March 16, 2025

Bring a small backpack for snacks and water. They let you bring it in, and trust me, prices inside are a total rip-off!
