Elafonissi Beach
Parking can be tricky, so I suggest carpooling if you can or arriving early to beat the parking chaos!
Don't miss the beautiful sunset – I think it starts around 7:30 pm in the summer. The colors reflecting on the water are breathtaking!
Vai Beach
I think there's not much shade, so get there around 9 AM or after 5 PM if you want to avoid the hot sun while still enjoying the beach.
Stefanos Beach
If you're looking to avoid the crowds, I suggest hitting the beach around 8 AM. It’s super peaceful and you can snag a good spot easily. Just don’t forget your sunscreen!
Check out nearby shops before you buy water or snacks; I found that prices closer to the main beach area were way higher than just a few blocks away. I saved a few euros doing this!
Tolo Beach
My advice is to visit early in the morning, around 8 AM, for the best sunbeds. By 10 AM, they get snatched up quick!
I recommend exploring some of the quieter coves nearby if you want a more relaxed vibe. Tolo Beach can get congested, and those hidden gems are worth it!
Iguana Beach
Don’t miss the sunset! I recommend heading to the beach around 7:30 PM. The colors over the water are breathtaking. Bring your camera, you’ll regret it if you don’t!
Balos
I suggest bringing your own snacks and drinks, because the prices at the beach can be a bit crazy! I ended up spending way more than I planned on food.
Loutraki Beach
My advice is to bring your own beach umbrella if you can. Renting one at the beach can be pricey, and trust me, you'll need some shade during the hottest part of the day.
Don’t forget sunscreen! I thought I was fine with just a little, but after a long day, I regretted it big time. Go for a high SPF and reapply often!
If you're planning to swim, head to the beach around 3 PM. The water is warmer and the crowds usually thin out by then, which is a win-win!
Explore beyond the main beach area. I found some secluded spots just a short walk away that were way less busy and just as beautiful!
Kalathas Beach
I suggest showing up before 10 AM to snag a good spot on the sand, it gets super crowded and parking can be a hassle later in the day
Chrissi Akti
I think renting an umbrella is a must; the sun can get intense, and it’s way more enjoyable to chill in the shade.
My advice is to bring your own snacks and drinks. The beach bars can get pricey, and it’s nice to chill on the sand with your own picnic
Falasarna Beach
Pack your own snacks and drinks since the beach bars can be pricey. I spent way more than I expected on a couple of drinks!
Bring some beach games or a good book. It’s super relaxing here, and there's a nice vibe for chilling without rushing from one activity to another.
Don’t forget your sandals or water shoes! The sand can get really hot during midday, and you’ll want something for walking around comfortably
