Valtos Beach
If you’re planning to swim, make sure to wear water shoes. The pebbly entry can be a bit rough on your feet. It saved me a lot of discomfort during my visit!
Bella Vraka Beach
My advice is to arrive by 9:00 AM to snag a good spot. It gets pretty crowded later, and we ended up with a less-than-ideal location because we slept in.
If you're planning to rent an umbrella, do it early! They run out fast, and I had to settle for a shady spot behind a rock because we were too late.
i suggest bringing your own snacks and drinks, as the beach bars can be a bit pricey. i learned this the hard way after spending way too much on a bottled water!
Blue Lagoon Βeach
Don’t forget your water shoes! The rocky areas can be tough to walk on, and trust me, it’s much more comfortable to navigate with them
Bring your own snacks and drinks to save money. The beach bars are nice, but the prices can definitely add up throughout the day!
try to get there early, around 9 am, to snag a good spot on the sand before the crowds pile in. i arrived later and it was a bit of a scramble to find a decent space.
Mega Ammos Beach
don't miss the beach bars for a cocktail after sunset! they offer amazing views and a chill vibe, but they can get busy—try going early to snag a good seat
Watch out for the pebbly parts! I wasn't prepared with proper beach shoes and ended up regretting it. A pair of water shoes can save your feet from the rocky bits.
Definitely check the weather before heading out. I made the mistake of going on a cloudy day and missed out on the sunbathing experience. A sunny day can make all the difference here!
Alonaki Fanariou
I suggest getting there by 10 AM to snag the best spots on the sand. It gets crowded pretty quickly, especially on weekends.
Agia Paraskevi Beach
Definitely check out the local food spots nearby for lunch. I had an amazing souvlaki at a small tavern, way better than the beachside offerings!
If you can, arrive at around 9 AM. You’ll snag a great spot on the sand before the crowds roll in, and the beach is super peaceful in the morning.
I suggest you grab some snacks and drinks before hitting Agia Paraskevi Beach. The beach bars can be a bit pricey, so save some cash by bringing your own goodies!
Lichnos Beach
Grab some snacks and drinks from the local market instead of buying from the beach bars. You’ll save a ton, and there are nice spots to chill with your own stuff!
If you're into water sports, try jet skiing. It's a bit pricy, but the fun is totally worth it. My advice is to bargain a little, sometimes they’re open to that!
Karavostasi Beach
i think it's a great idea to check out local food trucks for lunch instead of the restaurants close to the beach. you can find some tasty bites at better prices!
My advice is to explore the nearby coves after a swim. I stumbled upon a hidden gem, and it was much quieter and more relaxing than the main beach!
Ammoudia Beach
I think the beach is stunning, but the sun can be harsh. Don't forget your sunscreen, even if it seems cloudy. You don't want to end up roasted like I did on my first day!
Check out the local tavernas for lunch instead of beach bars. I found a cozy one that served fresh seafood at half the price of the places on the sand. Yummy food.
