Kourouta Beach

Pack your own snacks! There are some shops nearby, but they can be pricey. I brought a cooler with sandwiches and fruit and it made my beach day so much better.

If you can, visit on a weekday instead of the weekend – it gets super crowded. I went on a Tuesday and had plenty of space to lay my towel and enjoy the sun.
Gianiskari Beach

If you plan to grab some food, check out the local tavernas nearby. They're way cheaper than beach bars, plus the food is super fresh! I wish I had discovered this earlier instead of spending too much at the beach cafe.

You might want to bring your own beach gear like umbrellas and mats. Renting them can cost a bit, and the sun can be intense around noon, so it’s better to be prepared. I forgot my mat and regret it.
Tourlida

My advice is to hit the beach around 4 PM. The sun isn’t too harsh, and you’ll snag a perfect spot to relax without the midday crowd. Plus, the sunset views are stunning!
I suggest grabbing some fresh seafood at the local tavern near the beach. It’s budget-friendly and super delicious! I tried the grilled octopus, and it was a highlight of my trip.
Louros Beach Neochori

If you're looking to catch the sunset, make sure you're there by 7 PM. The views are stunning, but don't wait too long – it gets crowded! Just grab a spot on the sand before it fills up.
Giannitsochori Beach

My advice is to bring your own snacks and drinks, especially since the nearby cafes can be pricey. I wish I had done this to save some cash!

I suggest hitting the beach by 9 AM to snag a good spot before it gets crowded. Trust me it makes a big difference! Later at noon it was packed and a bit noisy.
Arkoudi Beach

My advice is to explore the little paths behind the beach; you might find some hidden spots away from the crowds especially around 4 PM when people start to leave.

I suggest bringing your own snacks and drinks, because the beach bars can be a bit pricey. Having a picnic while sunbathing was my favorite part!

I recommend getting there before 10 AM to grab a good spot on the sand. It gets pretty packed, and the sun's just perfect for lounging at that time!
Beach St. Basil

If you want some shade, bring an umbrella! I didn’t and ended up burned within a couple of hours. There are some small trees, but they fill up fast with other visitors.
I suggest grabbing a light breakfast at one of the local cafes before heading to the beach. The food is delicious and saves you from overpriced snacks on the beach. My favorite spot is a little place a short walk from the shore
