Check the weather before you go. I had planned my visit for a sunny day, but it ended up being cloudy and only got glimpses of the waterfall's full glory. Sunny days make a big difference!

Make sure to wear good hiking shoes! The trek down to the waterfall can be slippery and steep so don’t underestimate it. I almost slipped a few times because I wore sandals.

I suggest you bring some snacks and plenty of water with you. There aren’t many vendors around, and it’s a lot more enjoyable to relax by the waterfall with a snack in hand

I suggest arriving around 9 AM when they open. The place was much quieter, and I got more personal attention from the instructors.

I recommend starting your hike around 6 AM to catch the sunrise. It’s absolutely stunning and way less crowded! Trust me, the early wake-up call is worth it.

My advice is to bring extra cash. Some local warungs (small eateries) don’t accept card payments, so you might miss out on some tasty food after your hike.
