Bring some snacks and drinks, because the food options nearby can be a bit pricey. Picnicking on the grounds is a great idea!
My advice is to wear comfortable shoes. The grounds are a bit uneven, and you'll want to wander around without any sore feet!

I suggest visiting on a weekday if you can. Weekends can get really packed and it’s harder to take photos without people in the way
National Museum of Indonesia

I suggest visiting on a weekday if you can. The weekends can be super crowded, and I enjoyed the exhibits way more when there were fewer people around.
Bank Indonesia Museum
Dirgantara Mandala Museum

I think it’s worth checking if they have any temporary exhibitions or events; sometimes, they have special showcases that can be fascinating to see!

I suggest packing some snacks. The museum cafeteria is a bit pricey, and you might want to grab a quick bite between exhibits.

Consider taking public transport or a rideshare instead of driving. Parking can be a hassle and it saves you the stress of finding a spot.
Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Nusantara (MACAN)
The Ullen Sentalu Museum
Wayang Museum

I recommend going on a weekday if you can. It was much quieter when I visited on Tuesday, and I got to enjoy the exhibits without rushing.

If you enjoy photography try to go around 2 PM when the sun is perfect for some great shots outside the museum. I wish I had done that!

I think you should bring some cash. The museum has a small shop with lovely crafts, but they only accept cash. Don't forget to haggle a bit too!
The Museum of the Armed Forces of Indonesia

Definitely check out the gift shop! They have some cool military-themed souvenirs at decent prices. I regret not taking more time to browse there.

My advice is to look for any special events or exhibits happening during your visit. I stumbled upon a cool display that wasn’t advertised, and it really made my day.

Remember to wear comfortable shoes! The exhibition halls are pretty large, and I found myself walking a lot. Bring a water bottle too – it can get hot inside!
