Goa Cemara Beach

I recommend using a ride-sharing app to get there. Taxis can be overpriced and confusing, but with an app, you get a fair fare and are on your way!

Be mindful of the tides! I didn't pay attention and ended up getting my shoes soaked. It’s better to check beforehand so you don’t have wet feet all day.

I suggest visiting Goa Cemara Beach in the morning, around 7 AM. The sunrise is breathtaking and there are fewer crowds, so it's perfect for some quiet time.

If you’re into photography, golden hour around 5 PM is magical! I got some stunning shots, just be ready to share the space with other photographers.
Selong Belanak Beach
I think going in the early morning around 7 AM is the best! The beach is less crowded, and you can catch the stunning sunrise. You'll get some great photos without too many people in the shot.

I suggest packing some water shoes; the sand can get really hot in the afternoon. I ended up hopping around trying to find a shady spot because I didn't bring any. Trust me, your feet will thank you
My advice is to check out the local warungs for food. They’re much cheaper than the fancy beach restaurants, and the local dishes are a must-try. I loved the grilled fish; it was super fresh!

Make sure you bring cash! Some of the local stalls only accept cash, and it’s hard to find ATMs nearby. I learned this the hard way when I wanted to buy some snacks and had to walk quite a distance to find one.
Rinjani

Pack snacks! There are limited options on the trail, and I wish I had brought more. I ended up with just a granola bar, which didn't do me much good on the long hike. So bring more food and water!

I suggest heading up for the summit around 2 a.m. That way, you can catch the sunrise at the top. It’s totally worth the early wake-up call!

My advice is to hire a local guide instead of going with a big tour company. They know the best routes and will give you a more personal experience, plus it's often cheaper!
Pantai Seger Kuta Lombok
i recommend checking the weather before you go. i went on a cloudy day and missed the beautiful views. bring sunscreen even if it looks overcast!

I suggest visiting in the afternoon around 4 PM. The sunsets are amazing and it’s less crowded, plus you can catch a nice breeze.

Grab some local snacks from the market before heading to the beach. They’re really affordable and taste so much better than expensive beachside cafes.

Make sure to bring some cash. Many small kiosks and local vendors don’t accept cards, and you might wanna grab a coconut or two!
Tanjung Aan Beach

Don't miss the sunset! Arriving around 5 PM gives you enough time to soak in the beauty while avoiding the hottest part of the day. The views are absolutely breathtaking!

My advice is to explore the little beachside huts; some offer fresh coconuts for super cheap. You’ll get a delicious drink and support local businesses at the same time.

If you're planning on swimming, I suggest wearing water shoes. The beach can have some rocky parts, and they really helped me enjoy the water without discomfort.

I recommend bringing your own snacks and drinks; the beach vendors can be a bit pricey and the selection is limited. Packing a picnic lets you enjoy a full day without breaking the bank.
Pantai Lenggoksono
Try to arrive just before sunrise, around 5:30 AM. The early light on the beach is stunning, and you’ll beat the crowds. It’s perfect for pictures and peaceful walks!

Don't miss the local seafood restaurants nearby. They have fresh catches, and prices are much better than in the touristy areas. I had the grilled fish, and it was amazing!

I recommend bringing some snacks and drinks with you. The nearby food stalls can be a bit pricey and limited in options, so having your own will save you money and keep you energized.
Tambora
Senggigi Beach

My advice is to mix your beach time with local food. I found this warung called Warung Mutiara that serves yummy traditional dishes at low prices. Totally worth it!

I think you should bring some cash for local vendors, especially for snacks and drinks. Some small places don’t accept cards, and I missed out on some delish coconut water!
Pandanan Beach

Check out the local rental shops for beach gear instead of the pricey hotel options... You can find good deals and save quite a bit!

I recommend bringing cash. Some beach shacks only accept cash and you don’t want to miss out on the delicious local food.
Don't miss the sunrise! If you can, get to the beach by 6:00 AM for stunning views and fewer crowds. It's honestly one of the best parts of the day.
Pink Beach

Don't forget to apply reef-safe sunscreen! The beach is stunning, and we want to keep it that way for future visitors.

Bring your own snorkeling gear if you can! The underwater sights are amazing around the coral reefs, and it's way cheaper than renting equipment.

Save some cash and pack a picnic instead of eating at the few shacks nearby. Trust me, the beach snacks can be overpriced and not that great
