Tramore Beach

check out the local fish and chips shop for a great meal after a day at the beach; it's tasty and won't break the bank. i recommend the cod!

Don’t miss the promenade walk before sunset. The views are stunning, and it’s a peaceful way to end your beach day without spending a dime.
Killarney Riding Stables

Check the length of the ride you want beforehand. Some tours take longer than expected, so plan your day accordingly to fit in other activities.

If you're a beginner, don't hesitate to ask for more guidance. The staff is super friendly and offers great tips for first-timers, so take advantage of that!

I recommend wearing comfortable shoes and bringing a light jacket. The weather can change quickly, and you don’t want to be stuck in the rain!

try to book your ride in advance to avoid disappointment, especially during peak season. i almost missed out because i thought i could just walk in!
The Mardyke Entertainment Complex

I recommend hitting up The Mardyke on a weekday evening if you can – it’s way less crowded than weekends, and you can snag a pool table easier.

My advice is to try their cocktails; they often have great happy hour deals that can save you some good cash!
I think it’s smart to check if there are any special events or live music nights before you go. We stumbled upon an awesome band when we visited!
Perks Entertainment Centre
Ballycotton Cliff Walk
Inchydoney Beach

Don’t forget to bring your own towels and beach toys as rentals can be pricey. I paid way more than I expected for just a couple of beach items so bringing your own saves money.
If you’re planning to surf, check the tide times first. The waves can be different based on the tides and it can be frustrating not knowing when the best times to catch waves are.

Bring a light jacket! I didn't expect the wind to pick up in the afternoon. It can get a bit chilly even on sunny days, so be prepared.
Ballybunion Beach

My advice is to pack a picnic! The beach cafe can get pricey, and there are some beautiful spots to settle down with your own snacks. I regretted not bringing my own food.

I suggest checking the surf forecast before heading to Ballybunion. I found the waves to be awesome on Wednesday morning around 9 AM, but pretty flat the rest of the week. Saved me from disappointment!
Carrauntoohil Hike
Airtastic Entertainment Centre

I think it’s a good idea to wear grip socks. They sell them there, but you can bring your own if you want to save some cash. Plus, they make jumping way more fun!
My advice is to go on a weekday afternoon if you can. It was way less crowded then, and we had loads of space to jump around without waiting around for a turn.

I suggest checking out their online deals before you go. I saved a few euros by booking my session online instead of paying at the door. Every little bit helps right?

Definitely bring a water bottle. They have a café, but it can get pricey to keep buying drinks. I just filled my bottle up with water from their tap, and it worked perfectly
