I recommend getting there around 8 PM if you want to snag a good spot. It does get crowded quickly, especially on weekends. Trust me, I learned that the hard way.

I suggest grabbing a drink before the show, it's definetly cheaper at the bar than buying during intermission. Plus, you can find a good spot easier without the rush.
