The Uffizi Galleries
My advice is to visit during the off-peak hours, like right when they open at 8:15 AM. You’ll have a better chance of enjoying the art without huge crowds.
Gallery of the Academy of Florence
If you can, try visiting on a weekday morning right when it opens at 8:15 AM. It’s way less crowded, and you’ll get a nice view of David without the horde of tourists.
Take your time to enjoy the gallery. The atmosphere is peaceful, so sitting on a bench to soak it all in is totally worth it, especially after rushing through other busy spots.
Palazzo Pitti
My advice is to focus your visit on the Palatine Gallery. The art there is stunning, but the rooms can feel overwhelming, so pick a few favorites and enjoy them!
Palazzo Vecchio
Museum Opera di Santa Maria del Fiore
plan ahead and book your tickets online before your visit. i saw a bunch of people waiting in a long line that could have been avoided. it's totally worth it!
Take your time with the audio guide. It really enhances the experience as there's so much history packed in those exhibits. I felt more connected to what I was seeing.
Opera del Duomo
Museum Bargello
Make sure to check the opening hours before your visit. When I went, I didn't realize they close early on Sundays, so I almost missed out!
If you're an art lover, consider a small guidebook or app to help with understanding the pieces. I had a lot of 'oh, that's nice' moments but I missed a lot of history without it.
Plan to spend at least a couple of hours here. I thought I could rush through, but there's so much detail to admire in every sculpture. Take your time!
Galileo Museum
I recommend budgeting at least two hours for your visit. I thought I could rush through, but I ended up missing so much. There’s a lot to see and absorb!
I suggest visiting the museum on a weekday. I went on a Saturday and it was crowded. The exhibits are amazing, but I could barely move! Weekdays are way more chill
