The Uffizi Galleries

I learned the hard way that wearing comfortable shoes is a must. You're gonna do a lot of walking - so be kind to your feet!

If you're on a budget, grab a meal at a nearby deli instead of the touristy restaurants. You're in for some great authentic food without breaking the bank!

My advice is to visit during the off-peak hours, like right when they open at 8:15 AM. You’ll have a better chance of enjoying the art without huge crowds.
Ponte Vecchio

If you’re a fan of history, do a bit of research beforehand. Knowing the backstory of the bridge made my visit more interesting, and I had a better appreciation while exploring.

Look out for local artisans and handmade goods. I found some unique souvenirs that were reasonably priced compared to the typical tourist shops.

Don’t just focus on the bridge. Walk around the area to discover lovely cafes and hidden streets. I stumbled upon a great gelato place just a few minutes away.

Take a few moments to sit on the nearby steps by the river to soak in the view. It’s a beautiful spot to relax; I missed this the first time around!

If you're into guides, consider downloading an audio guide on your phone. It saved me a lot of money compared to renting one at the entrance, and it let me explore at my own pace.

Get your tickets online in advance! I waited in a long line to buy mine, and I saw people who booked ahead breezing right in.
If you can, try visiting on a weekday morning right when it opens at 8:15 AM. It’s way less crowded, and you’ll get a nice view of David without the horde of tourists.

Take your time to enjoy the gallery. The atmosphere is peaceful, so sitting on a bench to soak it all in is totally worth it, especially after rushing through other busy spots.
Palazzo Pitti

Don’t forget to bring a water bottle. There are places to refill, and you’ll be thankful for it while wandering around for hours!

I recommend wearing comfy shoes. Trust me, you'll be doing a lot of walking, especially in those beautiful Boboli Gardens!

I suggest getting your tickets online in advance. It saved me a ton of time waiting in long lines. Plus, it often includes access to the gardens too!

If you're visiting in the summer, try to go around 4 PM. The crowds start to thin out, and you can really take your time and enjoy the place without feeling rushed.
Galleria dell'Accademia

I suggest booking your tickets online ahead of time, it really cuts down the wait. I saw people standing in line for ages!

I think you should take a break at the museum cafe. Grab a coffee with a view of the sculptures, it’s a nice way to soak it all in!
