If you're on a budget, bring a packed lunch! There are nice picnic areas outside the museum where you can enjoy your meal without spending on overpriced snacks.

Wear comfortable shoes! The museum is larger than it looks and involves a fair bit of walking, especially if you're trying to see everything.

Consider visiting on a weekday; it was much less crowded for me then, and I could enjoy the exhibits without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.
