Mama Ngina Waterfront

I think bringing your own snacks is a smart move – the food options can be a bit pricey and not always what you expect, so save some cash and pack a picnic instead.

My advice is to wear comfy shoes. The walk along the waterfront is long and you might want to explore every corner. I regretted it when my feet started to ache!
Mombasa Memorial Cathedral
Town Square

If you want great photos of the stunning architecture, go around 4 PM when the sunlight is perfect and less harsh. I missed out on some golden hour shots because I didn’t time it right the first visit!
Masjid Riyadha & Islamic Centre
Mombasa Old Town
I recommend trying to eat at local eateries rather than touristy spots. The food is not just cheaper but also has that authentic Mombasa flavor that you just can't get from the hotel options!
Lamu Fort

I recommend visiting the fort around 9 AM. It gets super hot later plus it’s way less crowded before noon so you can enjoy taking pics without a bunch of people in the way.
