My advice is to wear comfy shoes. The walk along the waterfront is long and you might want to explore every corner. I regretted it when my feet started to ache!

If you want great photos of the stunning architecture, go around 4 PM when the sunlight is perfect and less harsh. I missed out on some golden hour shots because I didn’t time it right the first visit!

I recommend trying to eat at local eateries rather than touristy spots. The food is not just cheaper but also has that authentic Mombasa flavor that you just can't get from the hotel options!
