Dulces Market and Artesanias Ambar

If you're looking for artisanal crafts, don’t miss Artesanias Ambar. I found some beautiful handwoven textiles there. But be ready to bargain a bit for the best prices!

I think it’s helpful to learn a few basic phrases in Spanish. The local vendors really appreciate it, and it made my shopping experience so much friendlier!

Keep an eye on the time if you want to catch the traditional music performances. I nearly missed them because I got too caught up in shopping!

My advice is to bring cash. Some stalls at both Dulces Market and Artesanias Ambar don't accept credit cards, and ATMs can be tricky to find nearby.

Amber Museum

I suggest visiting the museum early, around 10 AM, to avoid the crowds and have more time to explore the exhibits at your own pace

Try to ask the staff questions; they’re really knowledgeable and passionate about amber. You'll learn a lot more that way than just reading the labels!

Look out for local artisans outside the museum selling amber jewelry at better prices than the shops inside; you can bargain a little too!

Casa Na Bolom

I recommend visiting Casa Na Bolom during the morning, around 9 AM. It gets crowded later, and you'll have more space to explore and enjoy the exhibits without feeling rushed

My advice is to check out their little gift shop! They have unique artisan products that support local communities and prices are pretty reasonable compared to other places in town.
