Lastly, watch out for the sun! Bring sunscreen and reapply often. I learned the hard way and ended up with a nasty burn on my first day.

i suggest arriving around 8 am to snag a good spot on the sand before it fills up. the morning vibe is chill, and you get the best view of the sunrise!

If you're looking for souvenirs, skip the beach shops and head to the nearby markets. You can find better deals and more unique items while supporting local artisans.

When ordering food or drinks from beachside vendors, I recommend asking for prices first. Some places have hidden charges, so being upfront can save you some cash.

My advice is to take the longer guided tour if you can. The extra time is totally worth it for the added info and stunning sights you don’t see on the short one!

Don't forget to bring your own snacks and water! The beach vendors can be pricey, and it's nice to have some goodies on hand while you soak up the sun.

I think the best time to visit is around 10 a.m. The sun isn’t too harsh yet, and you can find a good spot without the crowds. Plus, you get to enjoy the place in peace!

I suggest wearing flip-flops because the rocky terrain can be a bit tough on your feet, especially when walking near the cliffside.

Lucas December 30, 2024

Don’t forget your camera. The views from La Quebrada are stunning, and you'll want to capture all the moments, but remember to be mindful of your surroundings because it can get crowded.

Consider staying for the evening show; it’s magical seeing the divers light up with flaming torches against the sunset!

Watch out for the aggressive vendors; a friendly smile can help but don’t hesitate to say 'no' firmly if you’re not interested. It can get overwhelming if you're easily distracted!

If you’re planning on renting umbrellas or chairs, haggle a bit. I was surprised at how much they dropped the price when I just asked.

I recommend checking the tide schedules ahead of time. I got caught in a high tide one afternoon and ended up moving my stuff twice - such a hassle!

I think the food vendors are great, but stick with those that have a line. Fresh fish tacos from a busy vendor blew me away compared to a quieter one I tried!

user avatar
Joshua December 22, 2024

I suggest arriving before 10 AM to snag a good spot on the sand. It can get super crowded, and you'd want to set up before the sun really heats up!

user avatar
Lucas December 20, 2024

You should definitely bargain with the beach vendors. I got some fresh coconuts for half what they originally asked. Don't be afraid to haggle!

Brian December 5, 2024

If you want to save a few bucks on drinks, grab some from a nearby store instead of the beach bars. They are way overpriced.

My advice is to bring your own beach umbrella. Renting one can cost you a chunk of change, plus it's nice to have your own shade when you need it.

user avatar
Tyler February 25, 2025

I suggest checking out the local food stalls near the beach for some authentic tacos—way cheaper than the restaurants and super tasty!

user avatar
Elijah December 6, 2024

I think you should explore the less crowded beaches nearby, like Playa Pie de la Cuesta. It’s about a 15-minute drive and a great way to escape the crowds!

Wear comfortable shoes! The trails can get a bit rocky. I wore flip-flops thinking it would be a chill walk, and I regretted it pretty quickly.

user avatar
Richard March 9, 2025

Bring your own snacks and drinks! The prices at the park’s cafes were a little high. I saved a lot by just packing a cooler with some goodies

user avatar
Karen January 19, 2025

If you want to avoid crowds, try visiting on a weekday morning around 9 AM. I went on a Saturday afternoon, and it was packed. The tranquility is so much better earlier in the day.

Check for any local events happening before going. I missed an art fair that would’ve made my visit even more special. Next time I’ll definitely stay updated!
