Check the tides! I wish I had, as the waves were super high during my visit, which made it tough for swimming. The tide charts are easy to find online.

Get there early, around 8 AM, to beat the crowds and snag a good spot on the beach. The sunrise views are stunning and the water is calmer for swimming

I think you should explore the little trails around the Manzanillo area. They lead to stunning viewpoints and it's a great way to escape the crowds. Make sure to wear good shoes though!

You might want to keep an eye on the tides when swimming at Puerto Angelito. At high tide, the waves can get pretty strong and it's better to be safe than sorry!

My advice is to rent an umbrella and chairs for the day. It's super affordable, and trust me, you’ll want the shade after a few hours in the sun!

I think beach vendors can be quite pushy, so just be polite and say no if you're not interested. Also, you might find better deals if you wander a bit away from the main area.

I suggest grabbing breakfast at a local cafe before you hit the beach, you'll save a ton compared to beachside prices! Plus, the local spots have amazing fresh fruit and smoothies

I suggest bringing your own snacks and drinks. The beach bars are cool, but prices can be a bit steep. I ended up spending way more than expected!

My advice is to check the surf conditions before you go in. Some days, the waves are no joke! I got tossed around a bit and it was a little scary!

Honestly, don't stress about finding the perfect spot. Just walk down the beach a bit and you'll find a quieter area. I found a nice spot away from the crowds!

My advice is to get an oceanview hostel if you can; it's worth spending a bit more. The sunsets from your balcony will be memories for a lifetime!

My advice is to try surfing lessons with a local instead of a big school. They’re way cheaper and you'll get personal tips. I had a great time and it was way more fun!

I recommend checking out the beach clubs but be careful with the sunbeds! Some charge you for just sitting down so ask if any minimum purchase is required first. I lost some money not knowing that!

Mary November 10, 2024

I suggest bringing some cash, because not all beach shacks accept cards. I learned the hard way when I was craving some fresh ceviche but had no pesos on me.

If you can, visit in the morning around 7 AM. The beach is super peaceful then, perfect for swimming before the crowds show up, plus you can catch a stunning sunrise!

There's not a lot of shade, so bring an umbrella or a beach tent. I saw some people suffering from sunburns because they underestimated the sun exposure.

Don't forget to bring your own snacks and drinks! There are a few shops nearby, but they're pricier. I saved a lot just by packing a cooler.

I recommend bringing water shoes. The rocky areas can be tricky, and they make it way easier to walk around and explore the tide pools without hurting your feet.

I suggest bringing some snacks and drinks with you. There are limited options around, and prices for food can be a bit high. I brought some chips and sandwiches, which was a lifesaver!

My advice is to wear water shoes. The beach has some rocky areas, and it can be tough on your feet. I wish I had brought mine; I ended up just walking on the sand all day
