i think you should check the weather a day before. we went out on a windy day, and it was a bit rough. a calmer day would have made for a smoother ride!

i suggest checking the weather forecast a few days prior. we had a sudden change and it affected our experience but being aware of it helped us plan better.

If you can, try to go on a weekday rather than the weekend. It's less crowded and you can enjoy a more relaxed experience on the water
