Plan your visit for a weekday if you can. My friend and I went on a Saturday and it was super packed! Just more enjoyable when it's less busy.

I suggest you pack a picnic and enjoy it on the grass near the pond. It saves you money and feels great to munch on some snacks while soaking up the view. Last time I forgot my blanket and ended up sitting on the ground, which wasn't the most comfy.
