Make sure to wear sturdy hiking shoes. The trails can get muddy after rain, and slippery slopes aren’t fun! I slipped and ended up with a muddy mess, so be prepared!

I recommend packing snacks and water; there's not much around once you're deep in the park. You'll save money and avoid the hassle of searching for food later on.
