If you're into photography, try to catch the sunset from the dunes. I think it's worth it. I missed it and regretted not staying a bit longer.

I suggest looking for local accommodations instead of big hotels. There’s a charm in smaller guesthouses, and you might even get some local tips from the owners that you wouldn’t find in a guidebook.

My advice is to wear sturdy shoes. The paths can get sandy and uneven, and I slipped a couple of times in my flip-flops. Totally not fun!

Make sure to check the weather before you go. I thought it'd be sunny but ended up caught in a drizzle. A light rain jacket would’ve been a lifesaver for me!
