El 8 de Blanco

I suggest checking happy hour times – you can score some amazing drink deals! I got a couple of cocktails for half price, which was a nice surprise.

i recommend trying their signature cocktails – they're unique and worth every penny. i loved the 'blanco especial', and it made my night!

Look out for any local events or tournaments when you're there. My visit coincided with a pool tournament, and it was a fun experience watching the skilled players!

Bring cash. Some places in San Juan, including El 8 de Blanco, are cash-only for certain transactions, so it's good to be prepared.
Toro Verde

I highly recommend trying the zip line, it's insane! But keep in mind that they do have weight limits, which I wasn't aware of until I got there.

Make sure to wear closed-toe shoes! I saw a ton of folks getting turned away for wearing sandals. Don't let that happen to you!

If you're looking to save a few bucks, try bringing your own snacks and drinks. The food options in the park were pretty pricey and we ended up spending more than expected.
Jobos Beach
My advice is to check the tide schedule before you go. The beach can change a lot depending on the tides, and you want to hit it when the waves are just right for your skill level!

If you're looking to surf, I think catching the waves early, around 8 AM, is the way to go. The water's calmer and it's less crowded then, giving you space to practice!
Jose Miguel Agrelot Coliseum
Nono's

Honestly, try the local craft beers they offer. They're good quality and affordable. Just be careful, 'cause the vibe can make you lose track of time!

I suggest arriving around 6 PM if you want to snag a good spot. It gets pretty crowded later, and you'd miss the chance to enjoy some chill vibes.

My advice is to try their happy hour specials. I saved some cash while enjoying cool drinks; the mojitos were on point!

I think you should definitely bring some friends for the billiards. The tables are well-kept, and it just makes it more fun. Plus, it can get competitive!
AMF Bolera Paradise Lanes
Douglas

I recommend getting familiar with the menu online before you go. This way, you won’t feel rushed making decisions when you arrive. I hesitated too long and I missed out on a great appetizer.

My advice is to try their signature cocktails - they’re worth every penny! I was pleasantly surprised by how refreshing and well-crafted they were.
Carolina Bowling Center
King's Court Volleyball

I recommend getting there around 4 PM if you can. It’s less crowded then, and you have a better chance to find good seating for the matches.

bring your own water and snacks. the concession stands can be pricey, and trust me, it adds up if you're there for a few hours.

My advice is to mingle with the local players and spectators... They often have insider tips on upcoming games and events that aren't advertised!
Video Bar

I think it’s helpful to bring a few extra quarters for the pool tables. I ended up having to borrow some from others, and it was a bit awkward. Just stay prepared.

If you’re hungry, their bar snacks are decent but a bit pricey. I suggest grabbing a bite to eat before you go. It'll save you some money and you can focus on the fun!

I recommend arriving around 8 PM to get a good spot, especially if you want to play billiards. It gets pretty busy later on, and you don't wanna miss out on a good game!
