Donovaly Park Snow
I recommend checking the weather before you go. Some days are way better than others for skiing and snowboarding and you want to hit the slopes on the best day!
My advice is to pack your own snacks and drinks! The cafes on the slopes can be pricey, and having your own food can save you quite a bit.
Chopok
I'd recommend snagging a multi-day ski pass if you plan to stay a few days. It saves you a good chunk of change, and you get to explore more of the slopes. Totally worth it!
Don't forget to check the weather in advance! I got caught on a cloudy day, and it really impacted visibility. Clear days are a game changer for the whole experience.
I suggest taking the cable car first thing, then heading to the highest peak. It’s a stunning view and not too many people up there that early—perfect for some great photos!
Skalka Arena
Ski Tale
Ski Kraliky
Ski Telgart
My advice is to rent your equipment from the shops in town instead of the slopes. It's usually cheaper, and there's more variety. I ended up with gear that was just okay.
I recommend hitting the slopes by 9 am. The morning runs are less crowded and the conditions are way better. Later in the day, it got super busy, so I wish I had gotten up earlier!
I suggest you try to book your lift tickets online in advance. It saves you a lot of time queuing and sometimes you'll even score a little discount! I missed that chance and spent ages in line.
