I suggest arriving right at 10 am when it opens. I got there a little later, and it was already bustling. Getting in early really helps you enjoy it at your own pace!
I think it’s a great idea to visit on a weekday. It was less crowded, and I had ample space to explore without feeling rushed. Plus, you can find more quiet corners to absorb everything.
My advice is to take the audio guide. It’s super informative and really enhances the experience of the exhibits. You’ll learn so much more than just walking around!
I recommend checking out the outdoor exhibits first. They’re really impressive, and I spent hours taking pictures of those huge military vehicles under the sun. Doing that first made the indoor exhibits feel more intimate afterwards.
Bukchon Hanok Village
My advice is to grab a map from the visitor center; it’s super helpful to figure out the best spots and avoid getting lost!
Keep an eye out for the hidden tea houses—it’s a perfect way to take a break and soak in the culture. I found a lovely one after wandering a bit!
Start your day around 8 am to beat the crowds and enjoy the quiet ambiance... The morning light does wonders for photos too!
Sodemun Prison
My advice is to wear comfortable shoes! There’s a lot of walking, and the stone paths can be uneven. Don't want sore feet ruining your experience!
I think it’s best to get there right when the museum opens at 9 AM. It was way less crowded and I had the whole place to myself for some great photos!
I recommend grabbing a self-guide audio tour. It adds depth to the exhibits, and you can go at your own pace instead of rushing with a group
Sonnemoon
My advice is to grab some snacks before you enter. The food options were a bit pricey, and a picnic vibe in the courtyard can be a nice break!
I recommend checking if they have any special exhibits or events. I stumbled upon one that was super cool, but it would've been nice to plan ahead!
Gwacheon National Science Museum
National Museum of Modern Art
I recommend grabbing a coffee at the museum café. The view from the terrace is stunning and gives you a nice break before diving back into the art!
My advice is to visit on a weekday if possible. The crowd was pretty manageable making it easier to soak in the art without feeling rushed
National Palace Museum of Korea
My advice is to take a snack with you or grab something nearby. The cafe inside is okay, but we found some great local food just a short walk away!
Seoul History Museum
Coconut Box
I recommend getting there around 2 PM to avoid the morning rush. It was so much more chill when I arrived later, and I could take my time exploring the exhibits.
