Nerja Burriana Beach
Definitely bring some cash! A few local vendors only accept cash, and I almost missed out on some mouth-watering beach snacks because I didn’t have any.
I recommend you hit the beach by 9 AM to snag a good spot. By noon, it gets pretty packed, and finding a sunbed can take ages!
I found the public restrooms a bit dirty. It’s best to bring some hygiene supplies with you, just in case you can't find something clean when you need it.
If you're planning to have lunch there, skip the beachside restaurants. They charge way more. I suggest walking a bit inland for better deals and tastier food.
Bolonia Beach
Watch out for the wind! It can be pretty breezy, so don’t forget to bring a windbreaker or something to shield yourself from the sand.
Don't miss the Roman ruins nearby! They’re just a short walk from the beach and totally worth your time - plus they're free!
Monsul Beach
I recommend arriving around 10 AM to snag a good spot near the water. It gets pretty crowded later, trust me.
Mercy Beach
My advice is to explore the small beach bars nearby for authentic tapas instead of the big restaurants... The vibe is more local and you'll probably enjoy better food at lower prices
Los Bateles Beach
I think you should check the tide times before you go. We ended up with less beach space than expected because we didn’t think about high tide and it was a bit frustrating!
La Herradura
I think it's worth exploring the nearby caves; they might not be in the main guidebooks, but they're stunning and a nice break from sunbathing. Just bring some good water shoes.
Huelin Beach
Del Cristo Beach
If you're planning to drive, be ready to look for parking a bit further away. I thought I could park right by the beach, but I ended up having to walk 10 minutes.
Islantilla Beach
For a nice view, head to the promenade just before sunset. I was blown away by the colors, and it’s less crowded than during the day. Perfect for chillin’ and snapping pics!
I recommend exploring the little shops behind the beach. You'll find unique souvenirs that aren't overly touristy, and the prices are way better than the ones right on the beach.
Palo Beach
check out the local beachside chiringuitos (beach bars) for reasonably priced seafood. i found the paella here much better than what i had at fancier restaurants
For the best sunset views, head to the beach around 7 PM. It's magical and totally worth it, plus it’s less crowded as most people leave after the daytime.
