Parque del Retiro

My advice is to bring a portable charger. You’re gonna want to snap tons of pictures, and trust me, your phone's battery will drain fast with all the amazing sights.

If you're into art don’t miss the park's sculptures. But be careful I got lost wandering and spent over an hour looking for the exit! A map in hand can save you some time.

I suggest checking out the Crystal Palace; it's stunning, but it can get packed. Go on a weekday if you can. I made the mistake of visiting on a weekend, and it was hard to enjoy.
Park Europe

I suggest downloading a map of the park beforehand. It helped me figure out the best routes without wasting time wandering aimlessly.

Check out the themed gardens, especially the Dutch Garden. It's a hidden gem within the park, and I can't believe how tranquil it was!

Don't spend too much on food inside the park! Bring a picnic and enjoy dining at one of the many scenic spots. It saves cash and tastes better!

My advice is to wear comfy shoes! You’ll be walking a lot, and trust me, your feet will thank you after a full day of exploring.
Oeste Park

Don’t skip the kiosks if you want ice cream or fresh juice! It’s a nice way to cool down, and prices are pretty reasonable compared to nearby cafes.

Pack a picnic! There are plenty of grassy spots to chill and enjoy some snacks. Food options in the park are a bit pricey, so save some cash by bringing what you like.

Check out the Rose Garden! It's a hidden gem within the park and so Instagram-worthy. I nearly missed it but was so glad I didn’t!

If you're into peace and quiet, try visiting around 9 AM. The early morning light is fantastic for photos, and there are way fewer people around – it's totally serene.
El Capricho Park

My advice is to explore the lesser-known areas of the park; the main paths can get crowded. You might stumble upon some hidden gems!

I think renting a bike might be a bit of a waste. The park is quite intimate and best explored walking. Plus, it helps to take in all the beautiful scenery!

I suggest visiting on weekdays, especially in the morning around 9 AM. It gets way busier on weekends and you'll enjoy it more without the crowds.
Quinta de los Molinos Park
Juan Carlos I Park

My advice is to wear comfy shoes! The park is bigger than it looks, and you don't want to end up with sore feet halfway through your visit.

I suggest bringing a water bottle. There's a few fountains, but if it's hot, you'll wanna stay hydrated without spending on overpriced drinks at cafes.
I think you should definitely check out the lake area! It's quite peaceful and perfect for a picnic. I just grabbed a sandwich and chilled for a bit.
Madrid Rio Park

If you're looking to save some cash, bring snacks and drinks instead of buying them at the cafés in the park; they can be a bit pricey

Check out the interactive fountains with kids or just for a fun moment! I found it to be a highlight, and it's a nice spot to relax and cool off.
