The British Museum

Download the British Museum app before your visit; it has amazing audio guides and maps that really helped me navigate the place easily.

If you're on a budget, grab lunch at the museum café. It's a bit pricier than outside, but the food is decent, and you can save time by not having to walk out.

Consider starting with the Rosetta Stone and the Elgin Marbles; these are the hotspots and can get super busy. I suggest hitting them first before moving on to other exhibits.

Plan your visit during the week, especially on Wednesday or Thursday. It was way less crowded, and I could actually enjoy the exhibits without feeling rushed.
Tate Modern
Tate Britain
Saatchi Gallery
LUMAS Gallery London

Make sure to ask the staff for recommendations or stories about the pieces. They are super friendly and knowledgeable – I learned a lot from my chat with one of them.

I suggest checking out their online store before you go. They often have deals that you can snag, maybe even on pieces that caught your eye in the gallery!

When I visited I wish I had spent a bit more time in the upstairs section. Some cool lesser-known artists are showcased there that you might miss otherwise!
Hayward Gallery
Guildhall Art Gallery
Gallery Serpentine

Don't forget to check out the cafe before you leave; their coffee is surprisingly good! I recommend trying their cakes too - a perfect little treat.

I suggest visiting on a weekday if you can; weekends can get pretty crowded, and you might miss out on seeing some art up close.

If you're planning to check out the gift shop, my advice is to do it before your visit. They have some unique pieces that I found better than at the end when my wallet was a bit lighter.
Newport Street Gallery
Dalwich Art Gallery

My advice is to visit on a Tuesday or Wednesday when it's less crowded. I went on a weekend and had to squeeze past a ton of people just to see the art, which kinda took away from the experience.
