Thorpe Lakes, Wakeboard, Waterski & Wakesurf
Tees Barrage International White Water Centre
I recommend arriving around 10 AM when they open. It’s way less crowded, and you can really enjoy the white water without the rush of a big group. Plus, you can grab a good spot at the café after!
If you’re looking to save some cash, consider bringing your own gear if you have it. Rental prices can add up, and I found the quality a bit hit or miss.
Canoe Wild
Prime Paddling
I suggest booking your kayak rental in advance online; it saved me a good amount of time when I showed up and everything was ready to go. Plus, you can snag any early bird discounts!
My advice is to check the weather forecast before you head out. A sunny day is great, but wind can be a real bummer when you're on the water. Plan accordingly to get the best experience!
Hamble Point Sailing School
Don't forget to bring some snacks and water! The on-site café is decent, but I found it a bit pricey and slow on busy days
Elite Sailing
Fluid Adventures Ltd
Brighton Diver
My advice is to bring your own snacks and water. The facilities nearby can get pricey so I saved a bit by packing my own food to enjoy by the beach after diving.
I recommend booking your dive trips in advance, especially during peak season. I waited and ended up missing out on a couple of spots that were fully booked.
Hamble School of Yachting
Commodore Yachting
I recommend asking about any discounts or deals they might have when booking. I was pleasantly surprised to find out about a last-minute offer that saved me a good amount on my sailing course.
