Sacramento Motorcycle Rental

Bring your own gear if you can! It saves you some cash on rental fees and you’ll feel more comfortable riding in your own stuff.

If you’re unsure about which bike to rent, ask the staff for recommendations based on your riding experience. They’re super friendly and really know their stuff

Make sure to book your bike in advance, especially on weekends. I saw a ton of people getting turned away because all the rentals were taken.
Moto Guild
If you have questions about long-term bike storage or services, make sure to ask - they have some great local connections I wish I knew about sooner

If you're thinking about gear I suggest browsing the used section first. You can score some decent finds without breaking the bank.
Pacific Motorcycle Training
I think the instructors are awesome, but some lessons can run over time. Just be patient and bring a snack to keep your energy up while waiting.

My advice is to avoid weekends if you can. The roads are more crowded and it makes practice a bit more hectic. I found that weekday mornings were way calmer and more fun.
California Rider Education

If you're planning to take a class, book your spot at least two weeks in advance. They fill up quickly, and I missed out on a better time slot because of it!

Make sure to bring your own gear if you have it—gloves and a helmet, etc. Rentals can be a bit pricey, and you'll feel more comfortable in your own stuff.

I'd suggest arriving around 30 minutes early on your first day. It gives you enough time to handle paperwork and relax a bit before things kick off.
Academy of Motorcycle Operation

Bring some snacks or a water bottle! The breaks aren't super long and I found myself getting a bit hungry during the day. You don’t wanna waste precious time searching for food.
Spec-1

I recommend checking out their service specials online before visiting. It saved me a bunch on my tire change. Make sure to call ahead to see if they have the specific part you need in stock, since some things can take a while to arrive

My advice is to swing by on a weekday morning around 10 AM. It was way less crowded then, and I got more personal time with the staff to ask all my newbie questions.
Grand Prix Powersports

My advice is to ask about any package deals. I ended up getting my bike serviced and a gear discount, which was awesome. Don't be shy to haggle a little.
Bay Area Motorcycle Training

I suggest bringing your own gear if you have it, the rentals can get pricey. I thought it was all included, but it adds up fast. Also, showing up at 9 AM means you can grab a coffee nearby before the class starts.
