Pebble Beach Golf Links
If you're looking to save some cash, consider grabbing a bite at the Pebble Beach Market instead of the fancy restaurants on site. Trust me, the sandwiches are delicious and you’ll get to enjoy the views too!
I suggest checking out the 17-Mile Drive, it's stunning and free. I spent a hour driving around and the views were incredible, way better than sitting in traffic trying to get to it later!
My advice is to bring layers. The weather can be really unpredictable, and I found myself wishing I had a jacket on the chilly windy spots. You never know when you’ll need it!
I highly recommend booking your tee time well in advance, especially during peak season. I tried to walk in, and it didn’t work out too well for me!
Torrey Pines Golf Courses
Coronado Municipal Golf Course
Make sure to grab an early tee time, like around 7 AM. The morning is less crowded and the weather's super nice!
Check out the local shops nearby for some affordable golf gear before hitting the course. You'll save a bit of cash compared to the pro shop.
Spyglass Hill Golf Course
Don’t forget to bring layers! The weather can change quickly, and I was caught off guard. A light jacket or extra shirt made a big difference during my round.
Make sure to check out the clubhouse after your round. I found their menu surprisingly affordable and the views were fantastic, perfect for relaxing and reflecting on the game.
If you're up for it, I think renting a caddy is totally worth it. They know the course well and help you avoid unnecessary strokes, which I appreciated as a first-timer.
Presidio Golf Course
Make sure to arrive about 30 minutes early to warm up and practice on the driving range. It’s really nice and helped me shake off the nerves before a round!
Admiral Baker Golf Course
I suggest getting there around 7 AM to beat the crowds – trust me, it makes a huge difference for getting a spot! Plus, the morning chill before the sun gets too hot is awesome.
I think checking their online booking system is a must! I didn’t, and ended up waiting longer than I wanted. It’s way easier to snag a tee time in advance.
Maderas Golf Club
Consider bringing your own snacks and drinks to save some cash. The on-course refreshment options can be a bit pricey.
Definitely book your tee time in advance, especially on weekends. I missed out on prime slots because I waited too long!
If you can, play early in the morning around 7 AM. The weather is cooler and the course is less crowded, making for a more enjoyable round.
TPC Harding Park
Bring your own water bottle! There are refill stations around the course, which saved me some cash instead of buying drinks
