Bring layers! The weather can change quickly on the water, and I wish I had a jacket handy. It gets chilly out there, even on sunny days.

Check the schedule for whale sightings before you go. They keep updates on where the whales are, and going out during the best sighting times makes a HUGE difference!

I recommend booking your trip in advance especially on weekends. It gets super crowded and you don't want to miss out on a good spot on the boat!

I recommend arriving around 8 AM for the morning lessons. The waves are generally calmer, and you get more personalized attention from instructors. Trust me, it makes a big difference.

I recommend booking your boat at least a week in advance, especially on weekends. I was lucky but saw lots of others struggle to find last-minute spots

My advice is to layer your clothing. It can be chilly in the morning and gets warm by noon. You don’t want to be too hot or too cold.

I think going during the weekday is a smarter choice; it's way less crowded and you can really take your time exploring the harbor without feeling rushed.

I suggest trying to get a boat with a canopy. It can get super hot out there, and having shade made my experience way more comfortable!

My advice is to check the water conditions before heading out. I had a bumpy ride due to unexpected waves, and it wasn't as enjoyable as I hoped.

Definitely bring some sunscreen, even if it's cloudy. I got sunburned on my first day because I underestimated the sun!

Try to arrive around 30 minutes before your lesson. It gives you time to relax, stretch, and maybe even chat with the instructors. They’re super chill and love to share tips.

If you're a beginner, don’t worry too much about fancy gear. The school provides everything you need, so go for comfort over style. I regretted wearing tight shorts that day!
