Yosemite
I suggest getting a National Park pass if you're visiting multiple parks. It saves money and you get access to a ton of unique places, not just Yosemite!
Check out the ranger-led programs! They’re often free and super informative. I found out so much about the park's geology that made my visit even better.
Squaw Valley Ski Resort
I suggest checking out the lift ticket deals online before you go. I found some discounts that saved me a good chunk of change! Just plan ahead because they sometimes sell out.
Mammoth Mountain Ski Area
Check out the après-ski scene in the Village! The atmosphere is great and plenty of places have happy hour specials that can save you some cash after a long day on the slopes.
Heavenly Ski Resort
If you're planning to rent gear, do it online ahead of time. I saved a ton of money and time by booking my snowboard rental in advance. No waiting in long lines for me
Homewood Mountain Resort
Don't miss out on the food at the lodge! I found the prices pretty reasonable and the burgers hit the spot after a long day on the slopes. Just get there before noon to avoid the lunchtime rush.
If you can swing it, try to visit on a weekday. The weekends get really crowded, and you end up waiting in line for both lifts and food. Way more enjoyable with fewer people around!
I suggest checking the weather reports before you go; we misjudged it and ended up stuck in poor visibility. Bring some backup plans for activities just in case.
If you're renting gear, I recommend doing it off-site. It's usually cheaper and you can avoid long lines right at the mountain. Plus, some shops give discounts for multiple-day rentals!
June Mountain Ski Area
Check out the weekday lift ticket deals if you can! I saved a ton on my passes and the lines were way shorter compared to weekends
