Huntington Library
I recommend getting there right when they open at 10 AM. It gets super crowded by noon, plus you’ll get the best light for photos. Trust me, you don’t wanna fight the crowds later!
Carl Cherry Center for the Arts
If you can, I recommend visiting on a Thursday around 3 PM. It was super quiet, and I had the whole place almost to myself to enjoy the art!
i suggest checking their website for upcoming exhibitions before you go. i missed a really cool art show because i didn’t know it was happening!
I think you should bring a small sketchbook or a camera. The space has some really unique features that make for great practice or photos!
Ricardo Breceda's Art Gallery
I think you should check the weather beforehand. If it's too windy, the outdoor sculptures might not be as great to see. On my visit, a sudden gust caught me off guard - I almost lost my hat!
If you're planning to go, try to hit the gallery around 10 AM. That way, you can avoid the biggest crowds and have more time to soak in the artwork. The sculptures are super eye-catching and deserve some undivided attention!
I suggest bringing some cash for the donation box! Many visitors mentioned how important it is to support the local artists and the gallery doesn't have a set entry fee. Plus, it feels good to contribute!
Hauser & Wirth
My advice is to take a leisurely stroll around the gardens outside. They’re beautiful and often overlooked, plus it's a great spot for some Insta-worthy pics.
I recommend checking out their schedule for special events or exhibitions ahead of time. I stumbled upon an amazing artist talk that I would have missed otherwise!
if you're planning to visit the café, go for lunch earlier around 11:30 am. it gets super busy closer to noon, and the food is delicious.
